Yes. WeTransfer transfers all files in their original format and quality, with no re-encoding, no compression, and no resolution loss. DWG, DXF, RVT, IFC, and other large technical file types arrive exactly as you uploaded them. If you are sending multiple files or a project folder, recipients download them with the original folder structure preserved.
Free accounts can send up to 3 GB per transfer, which covers most drawing sets and smaller model files. WeTransfer Ultimate and above remove the per-transfer size cap entirely, so full project archives, high-resolution renders, and large BIM exports can all go in a single transfer. Yes. You can lock any transfer with a password that only your intended recipients know. For tighter control, you can restrict access to a specific list of email addresses, so the download link is only usable by the people you name. Download tracking is also available on all plans, letting you see who opened the transfer and when.
Recipients can preview images, PDFs, and video walkthroughs directly in the browser, with no account required and no software to install. They can also comment on individual files in the preview, which is useful for collecting markup feedback on renders or layout drawings. Previewers choose which files to download rather than pulling everything at once.
