When you create a transfer on WeTransfer Ultimate, you will find options to upload a background image and write a short description before the link goes out. This applies to each individual transfer, so you can tailor the look for every project or client. Your recipients see the branded experience the moment they open the download link.


WeTransfer works with any file type, so whether you are sending MP4, MOV, ProRes, MXF, or anything else, you can upload it without worrying about compatibility. Files are never re-encoded or compressed, so your footage arrives in exactly the format and quality you uploaded. This includes 4K and high-bitrate video with no resolution loss.


On the free plan, transfers are capped at 3 GB, which can be tight for anything beyond short clips. WeTransfer Ultimate removes the per-transfer size limit entirely, so you can send long-form footage, full project exports, or multiple video files in one go without hitting a ceiling.


Yes. Recipients can preview video files directly in the browser without downloading anything first. This lets your client confirm they have the right cut or version before committing to a large download. Yes. You can lock a transfer with a password so only recipients who have it can open the files.
