Each transfer gets its own background image or color and a written message composed specifically for that recipient or project, keeping every delivery on-brand and contextually relevant.
WeTransfer sends files exactly as they are with no re-encoding or compression, so high-resolution product photography, 4K campaign video, RAW images, PDFs, InDesign and Photoshop files, ZIP archives, and audio tracks all arrive in the same condition they left your system. There is no file type restriction, and recipients can preview images, video, audio, and PDFs directly in their browser before downloading.
No account is needed to open, preview, or download a transfer. Recipients click the link, review the files in-browser, and download what they need without signing up for anything. For link-based transfers, there is no limit on the number of people who can access the link, which makes sharing a product catalogue or campaign pack with a large buyer network straightforward.
You can restrict access to a specific list of email addresses, so only the recipients you name can open the transfer after verifying their identity. You can also add a password, or combine both controls for an extra layer of protection. These settings can be adjusted at any time from your Transfers panel, and you can delete a transfer entirely to immediately revoke the download link if plans change.
Yes. For email transfers, your Transfers panel shows a checkmark next to each recipient's address once they download, with the exact date and time available on hover. You can also enable tracked downloads, which notifies you each time someone accesses the transfer and logs who downloaded and when. This is available on all plans, so you know whether a buyer has reviewed your submission ahead of a meeting or deadline.
