Per-transfer customization is set individually at the point of sending, not applied globally to every transfer from your account. On WeTransfer Ultimate, you can upload a background image and write a description specific to that one engagement before clicking send, so a strategy presentation for one client looks entirely different from a compliance pack for another. Account-level branding, such as your custom WeTransfer page with logo and subdomain, is a separate layer that reflects your firm as a whole rather than a specific deliverable.
Yes. WeTransfer does not compress, re-encode, or alter any file during transfer, so your presentation arrives exactly as it left your machine, with all fonts, layouts, embedded graphics, and resolution intact. This applies to PowerPoint files, PDFs, and any supporting materials you include in the same transfer. What your client downloads is a bit-for-bit copy of what you uploaded.
Recipients can preview PDFs and a range of other supported formats directly in the browser on the transfer page, without downloading anything and without creating a WeTransfer account. For longer presentation documents, this lets clients confirm they have the right version before pulling the full file. WeTransfer previews have been used more than 59 million times since launch, and they work on web, iOS, and Android.
WeTransfer gives you two complementary controls for this. Restricted access lets you specify one or more email addresses, so only recipients whose address matches your list can open the transfer after verifying their identity. You can also add a password that must be shared with the client outside of WeTransfer, giving you a second factor of protection. Both options are available on all plans and can be combined on a single transfer.
Beyond per-transfer customization, Ultimate includes a fully branded WeTransfer page with your own custom subdomain, logo, up to five rotating wallpapers, and branded notification emails, effectively a client-facing portal where engagements can flow in and out under your firm's identity. Transfers on Ultimate can be set to never expire, so a deliverable stays accessible for as long as the client relationship requires. Ultimate also includes expired transfer recovery, meaning you can retrieve a past transfer even if it lapsed before you upgraded, which can matter during lengthy audit cycles or multi-phase engagements.
