No. WeTransfer sends files exactly as you upload them, with no compression, conversion, or alteration. Your DWG, DXF, STEP, IGES, or any other CAD format arrives on the other end in precisely the state you sent it.
Free accounts can send up to 3 GB per transfer. On WeTransfer Ultimate and above, there is no transfer size limit, so large assemblies, full project folders, or high-density 3D models can all go out in a single delivery without splitting anything up.
You have two options. You can restrict access to specific email addresses, so only those recipients can open the link. You can also add password protection to the transfer, meaning anyone without the password won't be able to get to the files. Both options are available on all plans.
With WeTransfer Ultimate, transfers never expire unless you delete them yourself. That means clients can come back weeks or months into a project and still access the original delivery without you needing to resend anything. You can also resend the download link directly from your transfer list if needed.
