When you create a transfer on WeTransfer Ultimate, you'll find options to upload a background image and write a description before you send. Choose a visual that fits the campaign, add a line or two of context for the client, and the link they receive opens to something that feels considered rather than a plain download page. Each transfer gets its own settings, so you can tailor the look for every delivery independently.
No. WeTransfer sends files in their original format without any re-encoding, compression, or resolution change. A 4K campaign master, a ProRes edit, or a broadcast-ready render arrives on the other end exactly as you exported it from your editing software. What you send is what your client downloads.
Yes. Recipients can preview MP4 and MOV files directly in the browser, up to 300 MB, and leave comments on individual files in the transfer. They can also mark favorites, which makes it straightforward for clients to flag the cut they want to move forward with. No account is required on their end to preview, comment, or download.
WeTransfer gives you two access-control options you can enable when creating any transfer. Tracked downloads ask anyone who opens the link to verify their email first, and you see exactly who downloaded and when. Restricted downloads go further: only people on a list of email addresses you specify can get through, so the footage stays between you and the people who are supposed to see it. Both options are available on all plans.
Per-transfer customization, the ability to set a unique background image and description on each individual delivery, is available on WeTransfer Ultimate and above. Ultimate also includes a fully branded WeTransfer page with a custom subdomain and logo, branded email notifications, unlimited transfers with no expiry unless you choose to delete them, and the ability to recover transfers even after they expire. For teams working across an agency, the Teams plan adds shared branding, shared storage up to 5 TB, and centralized billing for up to 50 members.
