That means a mood board for one client can look completely different from a final asset delivery for another, each one dressed to match the project or the relationship. You set it up at the point of sending, directly in the transfer window.
No. WeTransfer does not re-encode, resample, or alter image files in any way. Whatever you upload, whether it is a high-resolution TIFF, a layered PSD, or a print-ready PNG, the recipient gets exactly the same file. There is no quality loss at any point in the process.
Yes. Recipients can open images directly in the browser without downloading anything first. The preview renders at a slightly reduced resolution so they can check content and composition, then they can choose to download individual files or everything at once. They can also leave comments on specific files, which keeps feedback in context rather than scattered across email threads.
WeTransfer supports a wide range of image formats, including JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, HEIC, PSD and PSB, and most professional RAW formats such as ARW, NEF, CR2, CR3, DNG, RAF, RW2, and ORF. You can mix formats in a single transfer, and folder structures are preserved so clients receive assets organized exactly the way you packaged them.
You have a few options depending on how tightly you want to control access. You can add a password to any transfer so only people who know it can open the files. You can also enable restricted access, which limits downloads to a specific list of email addresses, and anyone trying to open the link who is not on that list will be turned away. Both options are available on all plans, including Free, and can be set before you send or adjusted afterward from your transfers panel.
