No. WeTransfer sends your files exactly as they are, with no compression, conversion, or modification of any kind. Whether you're sending OBJ, FBX, STL, STEP, or any other 3D format, your client receives the original file in its original state.
On the free plan, transfers are capped at 3 GB. WeTransfer Ultimate removes that cap entirely, so large scene packages, high-resolution texture sets, or full project folders can all go out in a single transfer without any workaround.
Yes. You can lock any transfer behind a password, or restrict access to specific email addresses so only designated recipients can open the link. Both options are available on all plans, including free.
On the free plan, transfers expire after three days and cannot be recovered.
