Collect and share group photos in one place

When you want to share a collection of photos with a group, juggling multiple messages or cloud storage invites gets old fast. WeTransfer lets you bundle everything into one transfer and share a clean link that works on any device. Every format arrives exactly as you shot it: JPEG, HEIC, PNG, TIFF, PSD, and RAW files including DNG, NEF, ARW, CR2, and CR3 pass through without compression, re-encoding, or any resolution loss. People who receive the link can scroll through the whole set in their browser, favorite individual shots, leave comments on specific images, and download only the photos they want rather than pulling everything at once. If the album is meant for a specific audience, you can add a password or restrict access to a defined list of email addresses before sending the link out.

FAQs

All your questions answered.

There is no limit on the number of files in a transfer, so you can include as many photos as you like. On a free account, the total transfer size is capped at 3 GB, which covers hundreds of full-resolution JPEGs or HEICs. If you regularly share large collections of RAW files or high-resolution images, upgrading to Ultimate removes the per-transfer size limit entirely.

Yes. Anyone who opens the link can scroll through a browser preview of every photo before deciding what to save. They can tap into individual images, mark favorites, and leave comments on specific shots, all without downloading the full set. If they only want a handful of photos, they can select and download just those files rather than the whole album.

Before sending, you can add a password so only recipients who know it can open the album, or you can switch on restricted access and list the specific email addresses you want to allow in. Both options work on all plans. The password is not included in any notification email, so you share it separately through whatever channel suits you.

No. WeTransfer does not compress, re-encode, or alter your files in any way. Photos arrive at the other end exactly as they left your camera or phone, whether they are full-resolution JPEGs, HEICs, PNGs, TIFFs, PSDs, or RAW formats like DNG, NEF, ARW, CR2, or CR3. The browser preview displays at a slightly lower resolution so pages load quickly, but the files themselves are always the originals.

Yes, if comments are enabled on the transfer. Recipients can click into any photo in the preview and leave a comment directly on that file, and they can mark favorites across the set without needing a WeTransfer account. You will get an email notification each time a new comment is posted, so it is easy to keep track of feedback across a large collection.
