No, recipients need neither an app nor a WeTransfer account to view or download your photos. They just open the link in any browser on any device and the gallery loads straight away. Sending does require a free WeTransfer account, but everyone on the receiving end can browse and save photos without one.
Yes. WeTransfer's in-browser preview lets recipients scroll through the full set, view each photo at preview resolution, leave comments on individual images, and mark their favorites before downloading anything. They can then choose to save specific photos rather than pulling down the entire collection as a zip.
