Collect and share group photos in one place
Pulling together photos from a birthday usually means chasing people across different apps, dealing with compressed thumbnails, and losing track of who sent what. WeTransfer gives you one place to gather all the images and one link to pass around, whether you drop it in a group chat, a family email thread, or a birthday card message. Every photo format is supported, from phone JPEGs and HEICs to high-resolution TIFFs, PSDs, and RAW files, and nothing gets re-encoded or squeezed down in the process. Anyone who opens the link can scroll through the whole album in their browser, tap into individual shots, and save only the ones they actually want rather than downloading everything at once. For a more intimate group, you can add a password to the transfer so only people who were actually there can get in.
Our features are designed to minimize how much of your data we — or anyone else — can access, so you can keep what's yours, yours.

All your questions answered.
Yes. You can create a file request link and share it with the whole group, so everyone can upload their birthday photos directly to you from any device. When someone sends you files through your request link, you get an email notification, and all the uploads appear together in your Received tab. From there, you can bundle everything into a single transfer and share the combined album back with the group.
Every photo arrives exactly as it was uploaded. WeTransfer does not re-encode, resize, or compress your images, so a full-resolution JPEG, HEIC, TIFF, or RAW file from your camera comes down on the other end at exactly the same quality. The in-browser preview shows images at a slightly lower resolution so they load quickly, but the downloaded file is always the original.
Recipients can open the transfer in their browser, preview individual photos, and mark their favourites directly in the preview. They can also leave comments on specific files, which is handy when someone wants to call out a particular shot or ask for a higher-resolution version. No account is needed for either action, just a name and email address to attach a comment.
You can add a password to any transfer before you send it, so only people who know the password can open the album. If you want tighter control, you can enable restricted access and specify a list of email addresses, meaning the link only works for the people on that list. Both options are available on all plans and can be set up in the transfer options before you click send.
On a free account, transfers are available for up to 3 days from the moment you send them. If you need the album to stay accessible for longer, for example so relatives who missed the party can catch up later, an Ultimate plan lets you set a custom expiry or keep the transfer active indefinitely. You can also change the expiry date of an active transfer at any time from your Transfers panel.
