Collect and share group photos in one place

A baby shower brings together family, friends, and often a few different cameras, and tracking down all those photos afterward can turn into its own project. WeTransfer lets you pull every image into one transfer and share it through a single link you can drop into a group chat, a thank-you email, or a text to the mum-to-be. Photos arrive exactly as they were taken, whether that is a phone JPEG, an HEIC from an iPhone, a high-resolution TIFF, or a RAW file from a proper camera, with no re-encoding and no resolution loss. Everyone who opens the link can scroll through the full collection in their browser, preview individual shots, and choose which ones to save rather than downloading the whole set at once. If you want to keep the album within the guest list, you can add a password or restrict access to specific email addresses before you share the link.

FAQs

All your questions answered.

Yes. You can create a file request and share the link with everyone who attended. Guests upload their own photos directly to you through that link, and all the files land in your account ready to view and download. A free WeTransfer account is required to upload, but the person creating the request just shares the link and the photos come to them automatically.

Anyone who opens the transfer link can browse the full set of images directly in their browser before saving anything. The preview works on desktop, iOS, and Android, and viewers can tap into individual photos, mark their favourites, and leave comments on specific shots. They only need to download the images they actually want rather than the entire album.

No. WeTransfer sends files exactly as they are, with no compression, no re-encoding, and no resolution loss. That applies to every photo format: JPEG, HEIC, PNG, TIFF, PSD, and RAW files including DNG, NEF, ARW, and CR2. Whatever came off the camera or phone is what the recipient downloads.

Before sharing, you can add a password to the transfer so only guests who know it can open the link. Alternatively, you can turn on restricted access and list the specific email addresses you want to allow, so anyone else who finds the link simply cannot get in. Both options are available on all plans and can be set at the point of uploading.

On a free account, transfers are available for up to 3 days from the moment they are sent. If you want to keep the photos accessible for longer, for instance so family members who could not attend can still browse them weeks later, upgrading to Ultimate lets you set a custom expiry or keep the transfer active indefinitely.
