Create your first WeTransfer album

Collect and share group photos in one place

Sharing photos with family should feel as simple as handing someone your phone, and WeTransfer keeps it that way. Bundle your whole collection into one transfer, whether that's a birthday party, a holiday, or a decade of throwbacks, and anyone you send the link to can browse the full set right in their browser. JPEG, HEIC, PNG, TIFF, PSD, and RAW formats including DNG, NEF, ARW, CR2, and CR3 all come through without compression or any loss of quality. Viewers can scroll through every shot, mark their favorites, leave comments on individual photos, and download only the ones they want rather than pulling down the entire batch. If you prefer to keep things within the family, you can add a password or limit access to specific email addresses before anyone else sees a single pixel.

FAQs

All your questions answered.

No account or app is required to view or download photos. Anyone you share the link with can open it straight in their browser on any device and browse through the full collection immediately. They can also preview individual images, mark favorites, and leave comments without signing up for anything.

Yes. WeTransfer sends every photo in its original quality with no re-encoding or resolution loss. JPEG, HEIC, PNG, TIFF, PSD, and RAW formats including DNG, NEF, ARW, CR2, and CR3 all arrive exactly as they left your camera or phone. The in-browser preview displays at a slightly reduced resolution so pages load quickly, but anyone who downloads a photo gets the full original file.

Yes. When someone opens a transfer link, they can preview every photo in the browser and download individual images separately rather than taking the whole set as one zip file. They can also mark favorites and leave comments directly on specific shots, which is handy when you want to know which version of a group photo everyone actually likes.

You have two options for keeping the album private. You can add a password to the transfer before sharing, so only people you give the password to can open it. Alternatively, you can restrict access to a specific list of email addresses, which means anyone who opens the link has to verify their email and only those on your list get through. Both options are available on all plans.

You can use WeTransfer's file request feature to create a link where family members upload their own photos directly to you. Share the request link in a group chat or over email, and every photo lands in your account ready for you to bundle and reshare with everyone. A free account is required to upload files through a request, so family members who want to contribute will need to sign up first.
