You can create an upload request in WeTransfer and share the generated link with your guests however you like, a group chat, a printed QR code at the venue, or a follow-up email. Anyone with the link can upload their photos directly to you. You will get an email notification each time someone submits files, and everything lands in your Received tab ready to download.
Guests do need a free WeTransfer account to upload files through a request link, but signing up takes under a minute and no paid plan is required. Recipients viewing or downloading a photo collection you share back with them need no account at all, they just open the link in their browser.
No. WeTransfer does not re-encode, resize, or reduce the quality of any file. JPEG, HEIC, PNG, TIFF, RAW formats including DNG, NEF, ARW, CR2, and CR3, and even large PSD files all arrive exactly as they left the guest's camera or phone. What you receive is the original.
Yes. Once you have gathered everyone's photos, you can add them all to a single transfer and share one link with the group. Anyone who receives that link can scroll through the full set in their browser, leave comments on individual shots, mark their favorites, and download only the specific photos they want, without having to grab every file.
Before sending your link, you can add a password to the transfer so only people who know it can open the photos. You can also restrict access to a specific list of email addresses, meaning the link simply will not open for anyone not on that list. Both options are available on all plans and can be set or changed after you have already sent the transfer.
