A simpler place to share your photos

Facebook keeps your photos locked inside a platform your audience may not use, want, or trust. WeTransfer gives you a clean link that opens a full, browsable photo preview in any browser, no account, no feed, no algorithm standing between your images and the people you share them with.

Create your first WeTransfer album

Collect and share group photos in one place

If you want people to actually see your photos rather than scroll past them, a direct link beats a social post every time. Upload your collection to WeTransfer and share a single URL that opens a gallery anyone can browse, comment on, and download from, whether they're on a phone, tablet, or desktop. Every format you shoot in comes through exactly as captured: JPEG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF, PSD, and RAW files like DNG, NEF, ARW, CR2, and CR3 all travel without compression or resolution loss. Viewers can mark their favorite shots, leave comments on individual images, and save only the photos they actually want rather than pulling down the whole set. For more personal collections, you can lock the link with a password or limit access to a specific list of email addresses before anyone opens it.

FAQs

All your questions answered.

Yes. Anyone you share the link with can open a full in-browser preview of your photos without downloading a single file. They can scroll through the collection, mark individual images as favorites, and leave comments on specific photos. If they want certain shots, they can download just those rather than pulling the whole transfer at once.

No compression happens at any point. WeTransfer sends files in their original quality, so JPEG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF, PSD, and RAW formats like DNG, NEF, ARW, CR2, and CR3 all arrive exactly as you captured them. The in-browser preview renders at a slightly lower resolution for speed, but the downloaded files are always the originals.

You have two options before you send. You can add a password to the transfer so only people who know it can open the link, or you can use restricted access to limit downloads to a specific list of email addresses. Both options are available on all plans, and you can also adjust them after the transfer has already been sent.

WeTransfer's upload requests let you create a link where anyone can send photos directly to you. Share that link with your group, and each person can upload their shots straight to your account. You receive an email notification each time someone contributes, and all the received photos appear in one place so you can then bundle them and share the full collection back with everyone.

No account is needed to view or download a transfer. Recipients just open the link in their browser and the photo gallery loads straight away. The only exception is if you enable restricted access, in which case viewers verify their email address, but they still don't need to create a WeTransfer account.
