Collect and share group photos in one place

Capturing a school year in photos is easy; gathering them from every student, parent, and staff member is the hard part. WeTransfer Albums solve that by letting you create a collaborative space where everyone can view and contribute class photos without needing to coordinate over email or chat. Share your album via link, QR code, or your device's native share sheet, and anyone with it can browse straight away without signing up. Students and parents who want to add their own photos just need a free WeTransfer account to upload. As the album owner, you set the title, cover image, and expiry date, and you can remove any photo in the collection at any time.

FAQs

All your questions answered.

Anyone who wants to contribute photos to a WeTransfer Album needs a free WeTransfer account to upload. Once they have one, they can add their photos directly through the shared album link. Only one person can upload at a time, and the maximum file size for each upload follows their own account plan.

No account is needed to view a WeTransfer Album. Share the album link with parents and they can browse every class photo in the collection straight away, whether they are on a phone, tablet, or desktop. Only those who want to contribute their own photos need a free WeTransfer account.

WeTransfer Albums support the most common photo formats, including JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, HEIC, HEIF, TIFF, BMP, and AVIF. That covers shots from modern smartphones, including iPhone Live Photos saved as HEIC, as well as images from dedicated cameras. Note that documents, audio files, and archives are not supported in albums, so only photos and videos can be added.

Yes. WeTransfer Albums support video formats including MP4, MOV, M4V, WebM, MKV, and 3GP alongside photos. That makes it easy to include clips from a school play, sports day, or field trip in the same album as the still shots, without needing a separate tool.

As the album owner, a teacher has full control. You can edit the album title, update the cover image, set or change the expiry date, and delete any photo or video in the collection at any time, regardless of who uploaded it. Individual contributors can only remove files they added themselves. When the school year or event is over, only the owner can delete the album entirely.
