WeTransfer and Mozilla partner to integrate file-sharing app into Firefox

WeTransfer / Mozilla integration makes it easy to share big files straight from Mozilla products, and symbolizes the companies’ shared values

WeTransfer today announces its third party integration with Mozilla. WeTransfer’s collaboration with Mozilla allows users to effortlessly share large files in and out of most of Mozilla products, like the Firefox web browser and Thunderbird email client.

Mozilla (stylized as moz://a) is an open source software community founded in 1998. The community uses, develops, spreads and supports Mozilla products, thereby promoting exclusively free software and open standards.

Travis Brown, WeTransfer VP of Business Development, commented: “We’re thrilled to debut this collaboration with Mozilla. They set a standard in corporate responsibility and in the move towards a better and more healthy internet. We admire and respect them for it, and we’re proud to hold true to the same values at WeTransfer.

WeTransfer’s founding principle is to make the sharing and transfer of ideas easier and simpler. This partnership is an extension of that, and will integrate the company’s simplicity and file sharing capabilities for millions of Mozilla-product users while continuing to protect users privacy, a value inherent to both companies. Mozilla and WeTransfer work tirelessly to make sure the internet and digitization is accessible for all, and at the same time work easier, simpler, and more efficient. With the WeTransfer integration with Mozilla, it will be easier than ever to share ideas within and outside of workplaces.

The WeTransfer / Mozilla Firefox app is now available in beta.
